System breakins are probably the worst problem. You do not have to be doing anything bad to get your machine compromised, sometimes it is out of your control. The best you can sometimes do is to protect the system the best you can and backup frequently. Chapter 9 covers a few security issues and gives you information to get started down the ``secure'' trail.
